About

Alissa DeGregorio is a lifelong artist who has worked professionally as a fine artist, illustrator, graphic designer and art educator. She holds a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Western Connecticut State University and is continually inspired in all facets of the arts.

As a graphic designer she has created branding for various small businesses and non-profits and designed book covers and interior layouts primarily in the children’s book industry. As an illustrator she has licensed designs to Bentology lunchboxes and Cheerios, illustrated book covers, and created designs for bands and private commissions. In addition, she has worked as a prop designer creating document and book props for TV and movies such as the Michael movie, Stranger Things, Hacks and Boardwalk Empire.

As a fine artist she loves painting the surrounding New England landscape and all things nature. Her work has been exhibited locally and sold nationally and internationally, and is available as prints, greeting cards and other products in local shops and on her website. She also offers commissioned house, pet and bouquet portraits. 

As an educator, she hopes to inspire adults and children alike to embrace their creativity in a fun and supportive environment. She has taught painting classes for adults at the New Milford Library for the last four years, as well as children at ASAP Summer Camp, and local schools and organizations as a guest educator. She also offers a variety of engaging and fun pop up art classes to kids and adults in New Milford.
